Higher-order thinking requires students to manipulate information and ideas in ways that transform their meaning and implications. This transformation occurs when we combine facts and ideas in order to synthesize, generalise, explain, hypothesise or arrive at some conclusion or interpretation. Manipulating information and ideas through these processes allows us to solve problems and discover new meanings and understandings.Coby has extensive experience as an educator of adults and children of all ages.

Most recently, she has worked with numerous teams in implementing Higher-order Thinking Skills in the classroom. 

She has worked with teachers, managers, leadership teams and staff, delivering Professional Development sessions both within education and corporate sectors.
Coby delivers practical workshops in a fun supportive environment. She provides a practical and hands-on approach to Higher-order Thinking with a view to developing student engagement.

This type of Professional Development usually suits a structure of full day sessions with staff. This can be held during curriculum days, weekends or holidays. Coby also offers this PD in a series of after school session, usually four sessions of 1 – 2 hours.
Coby also offers the unique opportunity of modelling in the classroom for teachers to observe.
